What Console Would Be Better a Ps3 or Xbox 360?

I have been thinking of getting a console but cant decide. I want the Xbox but i just don't want to pay $300 for it and then after a month it gets the red ring. The PS3 is ok is just that i don't like the slim edition but $700 to get the old 80GB is too much!!! please help me decide on what is better… Oh and by the way i do play most of the time on any console i have…

As of right now PS3 is a quieter, more reliable system, that cost more at first, but is lacking some of the great 360 only games and online user community. But due to it reliability and complexity will last longer and save you money in the long haul.
