Suggestion:
The system should be fine for your kids. You can buy a hard drive later on if you need more space – ie if you start downloading content from xbox live or you want to install games.

sony xbox 360 is realy nice play station but i think u should note one thing these days motion sense based games are in market so i think for kids those r the best option . as thy not only enjoy but do physical work on it .my yonger bro is using wii motion games. memory is suficent or kid games so u should go for xbox with motion sensor gaming

4GB should be plenty for playing games. 'Saving' game progress hardly takes up any memory. Ive had mine for 2 years, got the 32GB and have only used 2GB so far!
You only need more space if they are planing on using it to store photos and music on it (only useful if you dont have a computer) or to download games and films (if your going to connect it to the internet) which are best to buy anyway (i prefer having the disk).
Plus yea the Hard Drive (memory) is detachable and so ones with more storage can be bought.
