How to Increase the Signal to Improve the Xbox Live Connection?
My xbox is in the rec room above our garage which is de-attached from the house. About 50 yards away in the house, is the computer which the router and modem are located. We get wi fi connection up in the rec room, however, it is rather slow and it is very tough to play live. I was wondering if there was anyway in which to improve the signal so live would play better. I have been told the wireless repeaters are good but that they also slow down the wi fi speed. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Suggestion:
Wireless is just leagues apart from a wired connection. 50 yards is still within range for a wired connection with room to spare.
Other than that, you'll need to get a better wireless connection by setting up a wireless bridge as you suggested (one on each end with directional antennas and using the n protocol over the 5.8 ghz spectrum would be my suggestion).
