Suggestion:
on the Turtle beaches make sure the audio in/out cables are plugged in. It also comes with another cord which plugs directly into the sound modifier and the other end plugs into the controller. You do have to have all these cords plugged in to hear the sound through the headset.
Also try going in to settings on your xbox and fix the sound from there.

well if you don't have any speakers in your monitor then it wont have any sound
