The PC gaming world has grown over the years, when it first started out you needed to download certain software to be able to play games on your PC; this was probably down to the fact that internet connections were much slower that they are today.

These games were so big that you were limited to the amount that you could have on at any one time. This was because it took up that much memory that you did not have enough for any other programmes.

Instead of having to buy the games on CD’s nowadays, you can now download them straight from the internet on to your computers hard drive, the beauty of this is that you do not need to be connected to the internet to play these games.

Most gaming companies are now using PC gaming as advertising for their games; you just have to look at the many websites around promoting things.

There are many websites around now that offer a free demo of a game, this is just to get people interested in the first place, with a view enticing them to buy the full version, these however can be quite expensive, some of these games retail at around $50 each.

The PC gaming has really improved recently, no longer do you just have to play a game by yourself, you can actually have multi player games online now.

A lot of the gaming companies know that computers are now able to play these games without any problems, but they are reluctant to release them for PC, this is because they know that if they release them for the likes of Xbox or Playstation then you will also have to buy the consoles and other accessories too.
