With a shop near every neighborhood, video stores have been the most convenient way to get movies for years. The females range from a prior nun Collette to a horsewoman/pig fancier Plummer who wears a weird see through harness. Copious man and lady nudity couldn’t keep this from being a massive bore. Face Off: Trying to take down a vicious terrorist, an FBI agent takes things to an extraordinary level. He has his face altered to look like his rival. When the terrorist replaces his own face with that of the FBI agent’s no one knows who is who.
Beds Are Ringing: Employed by an offense supervisor as a street fighter the guy sets out to kick some butt. Cast includes Judy Holliday, Dean Martin, Fred Clark, Eddie Foy, and Jean hard Lawson. (127 minutes, 1960)
Goldeneye: In this 007 adventure Pierce Bronson plays the part of James Bond. The codes to a newly developed space weapon Goldeneye have been stolen. Bond heads to Russia, in search of the lost codes. His adversaries turn out to be former agent 006, Alec Trevelyan, along with Xenia Onatopp, a deadly assassin. 007 will need all his skills, as he travels from Russia, to the jungles of Cuba to recover the codes, and keep Goldeneye out of evil hands.
Beverley Hills Cop 3: Axel Foley is back in action. He witnesses his boss being murdered and immediately starts an investigation. This leads him back to L.A. where the clues lead him to a counterfeit ring run out of an amusement park.
American Pie: Jim is your classic teenage virgin, looking to get laid. He goes from one disaster to another, including being caught by his parents with his pants down watching a porno. Will Jim ever gat laid?
So Dear to My Hear: What a nostalgic Disney film in regards to youthful boy’s determination to raise black cattle and bring him to the State Fair opposition. Brimming with period charm and environment; few excited patterns, too. Melodies contain “Lavender Blue Dilly.” The screenplay is by John Tucker Battle, from Sterling North’s novel Middle of the night and Jeremiah. Cast includes Burl Ives, Beulah Bondi, Bobby Driscoll, Luana Patten, and Harty Carey. (84 minutes, 1949)
D2: The Mighty Ducks: Hockey player Gordon Bombay is out for the year with a knee injury. Surprisingly he is given the job of head coach of Team USA for The Goodwill Games coming up. Many of the players are former Mighty Ducks players. Can they come together to pull off a big upset and win the world championships?
Basic Instinct: Detective Nick Curren is investigating a murder. Sexy and famous author Catherine Tramell is becoming a prime suspect. She lures him into a torrid love affair. Now he struggles to resolve her guilt or innocence in the case.
