Interested in leveling a Shaman? The Shaman is a lot of fun to play despite the fact that many people seem to think they are one of the weakest classes in PVP that continuously gets “nerfed”.
If you’re serious about making a Shaman, you’ll want to know what to expect starting out, that’s why I have created some pointers here that will help guide you through levels 1-10:
Once you start leveling a Shaman, you’re going to be making use of a spell called Lightning Bolt as well as a healing spell known as Healing Wave. What you’re going to do is start attacking the enemy with your ranged attack and finish him off with a few swings of your weapon if he gets too close.
At level 4, you’re going to gain access to the spells Rockbiter Weapon and Earth Shock. Rockbiter Weapon will boost your weapon damage so make sure it’s on your weapon all the time. Also, be sure to throw in some Earth Shocks along with your Lighting Bolts when you’re fighting.
When you hit level 6 you will acquire Earthbind Totem and Stoneskin Totem. Stoneskin Totem when cast will boost your defensive rating and Earthbind Totem will slow down enemies around you. Use the Earthbind totem to stop enemies from running away from you.
Now when you are battling it out with your enemies, you’re only going to be able to have 1 totem up at a time. Most of the time it’s in your best interests to use the Stoneskin Totem.
If however you’re in a situation where the monsters you’re attacking try to run off on you, it’s a good idea to use the Earthbind Totem to keep them from getting away.
Shortly after this youll reach level 9 or 10 and be close to your races main city where you can further upgrade your armor and weaponry.
