It is About Time Microsoft Fixed the 360

Now I for one am a big fan of the Xbox 360, it is my favourite console of this generation and this is coming from someone who owns all of the main three as well as the portable ones too. Although the Xbox is my fabourite it certainly doesnt mean that the console wasnt released with a few problems, many of which still exist.

I am still using my 20GB original console which I managed to pick up the month it was released which was very nice indeed, I also got two games with it. Kameo and King Kong were the first two games I received and for the time the graphics were awesome. The only reason people buy King Kong now is to get the easy achievement points from and Kameo is always seen coming in at around £10. Then again, nearly all old games seem to devalue over time.

The main issue is with the console and not the games. The three rings of death or three red rings is a term that angers many of the Xbox community as it is such a pain in the arse when it happens, if you are not familar with the term it means the console is pretty much broken unless you send it off for repair.

I have actually been through two repairs, the second I really had to push to be free even though it was on the same damn console. There aren’t enough fans within the console itself so when it overheats it will slowly begin to melt away the soldering on the motherboard which then of course breaks the console. You can fix the console for a short time by wrapping it in a wet towel, this will cool down the inside and keep it up and running, this tend to only work for a day or two at the most.

Simply put more fans into the system right? There is already an issue with the loudness of the console, adding more fans could really cause another problem. So basically the users are going to have to put up with this problem until the next console. The bad repairs has certainly not stopped me from ordering in my new Super Elite containing a nice 250GB hardrive.

It is funny how far ac fans and a few electrical components can go isn’t it?
