A more precise rendition than earlier renderings of the tale, it still battles to handle the numerous elements of this historical occurrence. Cast includes Billy Bob Thornton, Dennis Quaid, Jason Patric, Patrick Wilson, and Emilio Echeverria (135 minutes, 2004)
Playing God: This film is a preposterous tale of drug addicted ex-surgeon Duchovny employed by gangster Hutton to be the personal crisis medical expert for his shot-up and sliced cronies. The improvised medical therapy is so entirely comical that it upstages the ridiculousness of the tale line. Why this film was ever made is genuinely a case for The X Files. Cast includes David Duchovny, Timothy Hutton, Angelina Jolie, Michael Massee, Peter Stormare, Gary Dourdan, John Hawkes, and Andrew Tieman. (93 minutes, 1997)
The Last Temptation of Christ: Imaginative and enticing from Nikos Kazantzakis’ novel which presumes in regards to Jesus’ self-questions while he grasps he has been selected by The lord to tote His message. Just a Little Harmless Sex: After a spouse throws her husband out of the home (because he picked up a hooker one day) their matrimony is put in emergency mode. She hails her lady friends together for guidance, and he does the identical with the gentlemen. Then they all unite at a local club. This film is a somewhat amusing, low cost romantic comedy with an extremely desirable cast. Cast includes Alison Eastwood, Lauren Hutton, Kimberly Williams, Jonathan Silverman, Jessica Lundy, Rachel Hunter, and William Ragsdale. (98 minutes, 1999)
Foxfire: An adaptation of Joyce Carol Oates’ novel in reference to 4 high school gals who form a clique while an enigmatic lady drifter comes to town. The cast tries however they’re finished in by a terrible script that plays like an R-rated After School Particular. Cast includes Hedy Burress, Angelina Jolie, Jenny Lewis, Jenny Shimizu, Sarah Rosenberg, Peter Facinelli, Streak Mihok, Cathy Moriarty, Richard Beymer, and John Diehl. (102 minutes, 1996)
Hot enough for June: Discharged at the peak of the James Bond fad, this spoof characteristics Bogarde as a bumbling spy in Czechoslovakia. This film is an occasionally clever, gleaming comedy.
