Alias Nick Beal: Allegory of Devil (Milland) corrupting truthful congressmen Mitchell with the help of trollop Stumble. This is a fascinating drama with an unusually wicked Milland. (93 minutes, 1949) Cast includes Ray Milland, Audrey Stumble, Thomas Mitchell, George Macready, and Fred Clark.
Jurassic Park III: Amusing popcorn film that takes a recipe and plays it for all it’s worth as professor-paleontologist Neill is convinced to lead an expedition to the prohibited island where dinosaurs wander, however obviously he hasn’t been informed of the realities. The movie is full of scares, and lots of fun proving that a thriller kind doesn’t have to be dumb. Cast includes Sam Neill, William H. Macy, Tea Leoni, Alessandro Nivola, Trevor Morgan, Michael Jeter, John Diehl, and Bruce A. Young. (93 minutes, 2001)
Man of a Thousand Faces: Surprisingly devoted, well acted biography of megastar Lon Chaney. Cagney as Chaney, Malane as upset first spouse, and Greer as a spouse who brings him cheerfulness, all perform well. Cast includes James Cagney, Darothy Malane, Jane Greer, Marjorie Rambeau, Jim Backus, Jeanne Cagney, Rabert J. Evans, Jack Albertsan, and Rebuff Pallard. (122 minutes, 1957)
It Started With a Kiss: Airy comedy in reference to crazy Reynolds and her Army officer spouse Ford, trying to make a go of maniage. The film is set in Spain. Cast includes Glenn Ford, Debbie Reynolds, Eva Gabor, Fred Clark, Edgar Buchanan, and Harry Morgan. (104 minutes, 1959)
Gator Bait: All the menfolk are after seductive swamp girl (Playboy Playmate of the Year Jennings) although she has a surprise or two in store for them. Cast includes Claudia Jennings, Sam Gilman, Doug Dirkson, Clyde Ventura, and Bill Thurman. (93 minutes, 1976)
Paddy: Irish lover Cavern tries to shuffle differed sensual confronts with uninspired home life in typical comedy-drama. Cast includes Milo O’Shea, Des Cavern, Dearbhla Molloy, Judy Cornwell, and Donald LeBlanc (97 minutes, 1970)
Down to You: Prinze and Stiles futilely try to buddy us up by talking straight away into the camcorder, clarifying how their once idyllic college romance went bust (albeit not as bust as the film). In someway, this film manages to find room for subplots in reference to a Television show and a friend who has a try as an adult-film entrepreneur with a sort of bohemian knowledgeable porn actress. Cast includes Freddie Prinze, Jr., Julia Stiles, Shawn Hatosy, Selma Blair, Zak Orth, Ashton Kutcher, Rosario Dawson, Henry Winkler, and Lucie Amaz. (91 minutes, 2000)
Aladdin: Disney’s energized Arabian Days story is refined through the sensibility of an old Warner Bros. animation, as Aladdin summons up a Genie who’s exploding with shtick. Williams’ hilatious fast fire patter forms the centerpiece of this alternatively conventional tale, colorfully (and tunefully) shown. Cast includes Voices of Scott Weinger, Robin Williams, Linda Larkin, Jonathan Freeman, Frank Welker, Gilbert Gottfried, Douglas Seale and the harmonizing voices of Brad Kaneand Lea Salonga. Red Salute: Absconder screwball Stanwyck meets no nonsense cadet Young in this clone of It Occurred One Day with crazy sociopolitical wrinkle. Barbara’s boyfriend (Albright) is an interigator who makes Communists talk. This is a definitely a new twist. Cast includes Barbara Stanwyck, Robert Young, Hardie Albright, Cliff Edwards, Ruth Donnelly, and Gordon Jones. (78 minutes, 1935)
