To get rich in World of Warcraft you are going to have to be prepared to do some work. There’s no way around it, gold isn’t going to simply appear out of thin air.
Once you decide that you want to earn gold, the first thing you need to do is consciously set aside some time to farm. This will mean sacrificing some play time.
Secret Number 1 – Mining
Mining is perhaps the largest gold producer in WoW. It also offers beginners a great chance to start earning gold from as low as level 5. Once your character hits level 5, start mining every single node you can find.
On most servers, a stack of copper will be enough to get you a bar of gold. Now, I know that may seem pitiful to a high level veteran but it’s not bad for a level 5 character. You’ll find that due to the Blacksmiths, Engineers, and Jewelmakers, there is always hot demand for mined metals and stones.
Secret Number 2 – Fishing
Fishing is often not considered by players as a gold producing profession. It can actually be quite lucrative however, especially if you have the patience to get your skill level up to 375. You’ll find that Cooks and Alchemists need fish for their trades.
Rare types of fish are needed in order to make some of the high end cooking recipes. In many cases getting these fish can a bit of work and Cooks are often too lazy to do it. In thee cases you’ll be able provide the fish and make some serious money.
Secret Number 3 – Herbalism
Herbalism can be a good little money earner on any server as the demand for herbs is consistently high. Collect a few herbs and you’ll be able to sell them to Alchemists for a healthy return.
Three of the most lucrative World of Warcraft professions are Mining, Fishing, and Herbalism. Using these professions wisely you’ll soon be able to pull in gold at high speeds. Herbalism and Mining are particularly attractive, especially for low level players as they allow you to earn gold easily from level 5 onwards.
