Madden NFL 15 Available Now for Pre-Purchase on Xbox One Games Store

Pre-loading also confirmed

Pre-ordering and pre-loading digital games is becoming a bit of a hot topic these days on Xbox One. During the Microsoft Gamescom presser, Xbox Chief Phil Spencer revealed that the feature would make it's debut in September when Forza Horizon 2 is released with FIFA 15 following suit. Well, it seems that Madden NFL 15 has beaten both games to the punch because it is now available for pre-purchase on Xbox One today.

According to the game description, "[Madden NFL 15] EXPECTED TO RELEASE ON 8/26/2014. YOU MAY DOWNLOAD THE GAME FROM XBOX LIVE BEFORE THEN, BUT IT WILL NOT BE PLAYABLE UNTIL 12:01 AM PDT / 3:01 AM EDT ON THE RELEASE DATE. Once purchase is complete, download this game by selecting the “Manage” button on the product details page on your console."

A 10 per cent discount will be reflected for those who've signed up to EA Access, a Netflix-like subscription in which players get unlimited access to EA games like Battlefield 4 and last years' Madden NFL 25 for only $4.99/month or $29.99/year. EA Access members will also be able to play a six-hour gameplay trial of Madden NFL 15 today. Game save progress will transfer over to the full version when the game becomes available.

A Madden NFL 15 Xbox One console bundle sans Kinect was confirmed a few weeks back, and will be available this Tuesday for $399.99.
