Free Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Kinect Game Due for Xbox 360 Release

Posted by Ken Barnes

Shellbacks, but no greenbacks.

The Xbox 360 title based on the upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie has been today confirmed by Paramount Pictures to be real.

The game, which is being created by one of Microsoft's studios, as opposed to the formerly-assumed Activision, is entitled Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Training Lair and will require Kinect in order to be playable. It'll contain assets from the movie, and you get to dodge shurikens, hack at targets, and all that other ninja stuff that you'd expect.

On top of that, the game will be FREE and only available for a limited time, although the length of time that it will be available for has yet to be confirmed.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Training Lair will release for Xbox 360 on July 22nd via Xbox Live. We're not expecting the world, but's free!

Not gonna lie. Im a bit "shellshocked" this isnt coming to the xb1. It seems like they really are trying to kill of the kinect 2.I was fully prepared to "shell" out $15 for they get nothing and like it....see what I did there?

@EternalDragonX I agree, or at least it should be on both 360 and One.

Somehow I really doubt a free Kinect game is gonna be good lol On the other hand, I'm really looking forward to the movie now since the 2nd trailer was released. I might still get this game, but I still rather play TMNT out of the shadows (yes, I actually kinda like the game, but it could have been SOOOO much more)

I'm actually seeing myself having fun with this. Not sure if in the "laugh with" or the "laugh at" kind of fun!

@PeTitosaurus You gotta play kinect games like no ones watching and you will have alot of fun. Heck I played Dance Central at my 15 yr old nephews bday party with all sorts of judgmental high school kids surounding. Did I care?...Not a bit, I had a good time. I'm 29 btw.
