Xbox One Launches in Japan on September 4th

About time.

Finally, the Xbox One will officially be made available to gamers in Japan.

Famitsu are reporting that the console will go on sale in the country on September 4th, but no price has been announced as yet.

Also released was a list of Japanese developers and publishers that are working on titles for the Xbox One. Some we knew about already of course, but some are new - Nippon Ichi! 48 companies were listed, including:-

There's no confirmation of a final launch title lineup as yet, but we'll bring you that as it's released.

PS4 and Wii U are selling like trash there, so I'm interested to see how Xbox One does as the brand simply hasn't taken off in Japan. Maybe third time's the charm, maybe it isn't. Regardless MS will probably do what it did last gen and pay for some, at least timed-exclusive, games.

I think there's no point to Xbox being in Japan, they obviously have no interest in an American game console :-P
