Shining Empire Funded for Xbox One, Xbox 360

16-bit-style RPG hits target
In yet more Kickstarter news, the 16-bit-style RPG Shining Empire has hit its modest funding target, which puts it one step closer to an Xbox One and Xbox 360 release.
Developer Arcade County LLC was only looking for $1,400 but at the time of writing, has reached almost twice that. There are still stretch goals to hit, of course, but the base level has been smashed through.
The game appears to be a mixture of classic old-school RPGs, with a slight Minecraft bent. Farming, building, trading, mining, and fishing will all feature, and combat featured hundreds of combatants on each side. In the developer's own words, "it's like Shining Force on steroids."
We'll take that.
Completing the game will require 100 or so hours of play, but there's more than 1,000 hours built in there, according to Arcade County.
There's a whole bunch of videos over on the game's official Kickstarter page, and it looks intriguing to say the least. The game is currently being pitched to launch in October, for Xbox One and Xbox 360.
