UK Chart: Thief Tops All Formats and Xbox One Chart

Stolen the title.

Eidos Montreal's Thief has topped the first UK game sales chart of March, beating away tough competition from the likes of other newcomers Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare and Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2.

The game reportedly demolished the week one sales of the last title in the series - Thief: Deadly Shadows - and pushed last week's number one The Lego Movie Videogame down to the second position.

In the official Xbox One chart, the title also reigns supreme at the top, with Plants vs Zombies bringing up the rear, and The Lego Movie Videogame falling calamitously down to number 8 from last week's number 3. Are Xbox One fans growing weary of Lego titles, or are they just buying them for their 360, knowing that there's very little difference between the titles across the two formats? Only time will tell.

I've actually enjoyed Thief a lot more than I thought I would after all the negative reviews it seemed. Not perfect by any means but the stealth in it is well done.
