South Park Hits Top Spot in UK

Posted by Ken Barnes

Thief pushed to second.

Given how close it came to falling by the wayside along with THQ when that company collapsed, South Park: The Stick of Truth is doing incredibly well and has topped the UK All Formats Chart in its debut week. The game did well in review spotlight too, nabbing a nice 8 out of 10.

Last week's number one, Thief slips to second position, with the rest of the top ten shuffling around. The only other significant move sees Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 dropping out of the top ten and all the way down to 24.

UK Official All Formats Chart

  1. NE South Park: The Stick of Truth (Ubisoft)
  2. 1 Thief (Square Enix)
  3. 4 Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare (EA Games)

  5. 3 FIFA 14 (EA Sports)
  6. 5 Call of Duty: Ghosts (Activision)

  8. 6 Battlefield 4 (EA Games)

Unfortunately most of the bad stuff about Thief is true. It has some redeeming qualities but on the whole is thoroughly average.

South Park looks awesome, I really wish I could look past the turn-based aspect as I'm such a huge fan of the South Park, but sadly I can't. I just think I'd get too frustrated.
