Assassin's Creed: Unity Headed to Xbox One This Autumn

Posted by Ken Barnes

Separate Xbox 360 game en route, too

Kotaku has gone live with a leak of the new Assassin's Creed title for Xbox One. Entitled Assassin's Creed: Unity, the game looks to be set - at least partially - during the French Revolution, with the early leaked screenshots picked up by Kotaku showing 18th-century Paris in all its glory. Notre Dame, the Seine, and other Parisian landmarks are on display.

Not only that, but a number of sources are claiming that this is one of TWO Assassin's Creed titles heading to retail before Christmas. Unity is supposedly heading to Xbox One and PlayStation 4 ONLY, with a second entirely separate title - potentially called Comet - being released for the Xbox 360 and PS3. It is yet to be confirmed how the two titles will link together, or whether gamers will be expected to fork out for two full-price titles in order to stay up to speed with the story, but more will be revealed over the next few months.

We'll not steal Kotaku's leaked screenshots of the game. If you want to check them out, feel free to visit the source link below.

Honestly the only reason I got into AC III and IV was the time period they were set in. This time period does nothing for me so I will probably pass on it unless I come across it in the bargain bin.

Too much AC. Nice to see they're making a true next-gen version while making a current-gen version too. Wish they made a Vita & 3DS one while they're at it.

A real shame that it was leaked. But this does have me intrigued, even if I'm getting a little burned out from this franchise now

@Anthinator I know what you mean - was a shame it was leaked. Regards to being burned out, I think I've gone the opposite way. I enjoyed ACIV so much that it reinvigorated my interest in the franchise. I really didn't care for anything past the first game, up until Black Flag. :)
