Out This Week: February 4th (North America)

A strong start to the month

So you're browsing your local retailer's Xbox One and Xbox 360 section and have no idea what new games were released this week. No one seems willing to help and you feel alone and scared. Surely, there must be a way — an easy way — to get the info on the latest releases. Rest your worried head young Spartan, because at pX we got you covered on what's hitting retail stores and the Games Store.

There's a little something on each Microsoft platform this week. We've got a movie tie-in, an HD remaster, and at long last — the next instalment of Telltale's episodic series based on the Fables comics.

Xbox One Retail

The LEGO Movie Videogame (Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment / $59.99) — The LEGO games are everywhere, so naturally the happy team at Traveller's Tales could never pass up another LEGO game based off of their own LEGO movie (which we might add, looks flippin' awesome!). We don't expect too much innovation here, so if you haven't burned yourself out from collecting thousands of studs across previous titles, then knock yourself out. Available February 7th

Xbox 360 Retail

Fable Anniversary (Microsoft Game Studios / $39.99) — It's surprising that the original Fable has been out for 10 years now. In celebration of the achievement, Xbox 360 gamers can now relive the adventure again but with better visuals. According to reviews, the game still holds up to this day. So if you're one of the few that missed the original back in 2004, now is your chance to rectify that. Available February 4th

The LEGO Movie Videogame (Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment / $49.99) — Yep, the LEGO Movie game is also on the Xbox 360. Who woulda thought a LEGO game gracing multiple consoles would be possible? Available February 7th

Xbox 360 Games Store

The Wolf Among Us - Episode 2: Smoke and Mirrors (Telltale Games / $4.99) — Finally, we can continue the story of The Big Bad Wolf in Telltale's second episode of their Fables series. There are reports of Xbox Live issues surrounding the season pass today. So if you've already coughed up the dough and purchased the season pass, make sure you aren't buying the episode again. Available February 5th

We're feeling a little nostalgic this week, so don't judge us if we want to fall back into the loveable, charming land of Albion. To contrast that, we've been anticipating "Smoke and Mirrors" since we first had our taste of The Wolf Among Us. I think we have our weekend plans pretty well covered now.
