Out This Week: November 26th (North America)

Posted by Anthony Bacchus

Keep moving, nothing to see here!

So you're browsing your local retailer's Xbox One and Xbox 360 section and have no idea what new games were released this week. No one seems willing to help and you feel alone and scared. Surely, there must be a way — an easy way — to get the info on the latest releases. Rest your worried head young Spartan, because at pX we got you covered on what's hitting retail stores and the Games Store.

Congratulations to Microsoft for a successful Xbox One launch this past week. We sure hope that you were able to secure one of them shiny new boxes and have been enjoying the many launch titles already available for the console. You may as well stay cozy with it for a bit longer too, since there is only one new game being released this week in North America, and it just so happens to be a "last gen" game (Can we say that already?).

We suppose it only makes sense that we see a software slump so soon after a new console launch. We just don't want to see the Xbox One follow the steps of the Wii U's launch pattern.

Air Conflicts: Vietnam (Kalypso Media / $29.99) - Pretty much your usual war-centric dogfighting action game here. There isn't anything quite noteworthy but there is an online component where eight players can jump in and duke it out across different game modes like capture-the-flag and deathmatch. Available November 26th

We're not ones to sway the opinions of others (or do we?) but we're gonna be taking a pass on Air Conflicts: Vietnam. There's just way too many games we would much rather be playing right now. We're also pretty distracted by our newly opened Xbox One's which we must admit, is taking up most of our time here at Pure Xbox.

Why not let us know in the comments below about your own experiences with the Xbox One. Are you enjoying it, and what games are you playing? Perhaps you aren't exactly blown away by the new machine, or maybe you just haven't purchased one yet. Whatever your situation, we'd love to hear about it.

Definitely hitting that lull but can't really complain. With PS4 being only two weeks old and X1, Zelda: A Link Between Worlds, Tearaway and Super Mario 3D World all hitting in the last few days, there's a ton to play.

Normal I might be a bit upset that there is nothing new this week, but right now I am so engrossed in A Link Between Worlds nothing else really matters lol. Such a great game.

I picked up one of the Zelda special edition 3DS units for my son for Christmas. I can't wait to check out a Link Between Worlds. I would buy a Wii U for that game on big screen from what I've seen of it in review.

As to the Xbox One.. I'm loving mine. Really getting used to the voice commands and they work about 90% or so of the time for me. I think that will get better as I hone my speechcraft with the Xbox. My only complaint has to be with BF4 on the Xbox One. I played it for a month on 360 and now it's fairly broken on X1. Multiplayer is prone to a lot of lag and for days it was basically impossible to even get into multiplayer. Crashing to the dash mid game on occassion or just randomly losing connection to the server. Really had higher expectations.

Forza 5 on the other hand is pretty flawless and fun!
