On Xbox 360 and Xbox One, no less.

Konami has confirmed that the prequel to the Xbox One's Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain will launch via Xbox Live for both the Xbox 360 and Xbox One in spring 2014.

The game, entitled Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes will set you back £29.99 for the Xbox One edition, and £19.99 for the Xbox 360 version, with US buyers being charged $29.99 and $19.99 respectively.

Hideo Kojima, the legendary developer behind the series, says that the prequel title will ease players in to the open-world gameplay of The Phantom Pain. Ground Zeroes will introduce "key elements" that will allow players to "fully benefit from all that the new game will offer."

I'm not sure if this is a good or bad thing. I do know that Konami is starting to milk this cow a bit too much.

@Gamer83 I'd say it's good. $20 for one half of a $60 game & it will come out earlier than it would if it was to release as one thanks to less development needed. This is awesome.

Fair points. We'll see how it is when it's relased, I plan on downloading it on PS4. I just hope it's not a glorified demo.
