Call of Duty Ghosts Pulled Forward on Xbox One

Posted by Ken Barnes

Activision has announced that Call of Duty: Ghosts (which releases tomorrow on Xbox 360) has been pulled forward on Xbox One.

Initially scheduled to launch alongside the console on November 22nd, the game will now be available at retail on Friday, November 15th. We've no idea why this would be the case, given that you won't be able to actually play the game until you have the console, but stranger things have happened.

The last time this occurred was with the medicore Blue Stinger for the Sega Dreamcast, which hit the shelves the week before the console did. That game went on to sell considerably less copies than the next gen version of Call of Duty: Ghosts will on Xbox One, we're sure.

Same day PS4 releases in North America. Very strange timing indeed... Well played, MS, well played.
