Let's all just have a little "faith"

Telltale Games is riding high with their successful Walking Dead game series that concluded almost one year ago now. The Walking Dead comic series (having already been adapted into a hit TV series on AMC) made its jump to game consoles, PC, and mobile devices to much critical acclaim, some even dubbing it as 2012's Game of the Year.

Now, Telltale is hoping that their next episodic game, The Wolf Among Us, based on Bill Willingham's Fables comic book series will see the same or even greater success. For those that need some background, Fables is all about characters from fairy tales and folklore who are now living in our world after being banished from their homelands by "The Adversary." You play as Big Bad Wolf, aka Bigby, who serves as the sheriff of Fabletown, where all the fairy tale characters reside. The first episode called "Faith" is available to download from the Xbox 360 Games Store today and if the launch trailer doesn't tickle your fancy, then perhaps a few of the very positive reviews will have you changing your mind.

IGN awarded the debut episode with a 9.0 and wrote "If this inaugural episode of The Wolf Among Us is any indication of the rest of the season, then Telltale's latest adventure game is set to provide an adventure every bit as memorable as Lee and Clementine's."

Joystiq stamped it with 4 1/2 stars after stating "[The first episode] is the perfect beginning to a new adventure from Telltale, effortlessly pulling you in and making you invested in protecting these curious creatures from our storybooks."

We're hoping to have a review up soon enough but we're also interested in your own thoughts too. Will you be downloading "Faith" today? If so, shoot us a comment down below based on your reactions.
