Microsoft Extends 'Games with Gold' Promotion on Xbox 360

Microsoft's Games with Gold program is here to stay and will continue to exist as an "ongoing benefit" on Xbox 360.
First revealed this year at E3, the new program was clearly in response to Sony's Instant Game Collection, which gives up one (sometimes two) free games every week as long as you are a PlayStation Plus member. Games with Gold operates a little differently from PS Plus though: only two games from the Xbox Games Store are made available for free on the 1st and the 16th of every month. When Microsoft first announced Games with Gold, it was labelled as a limited-time offer and would end the promotion in December.
Touting an "overwhelming response" from Xbox Live gold subscribers, Microsoft has made the right decision to keep the promotion going. There has been no word on whether the program will ever jump to Xbox One but we assume that it would eventually, just not anytime soon.
So far since launching the program in June, gamers had access to Fable III, Defense Grid, Assassin's Creed II, Crackdown, Dead Rising 2, Dead Rise 2: Case Zero, Magic 2013, Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Vegas, Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes, and Halo 3.
Are you excited that Games with Gold is now a part of your Xbox Live Gold membership? Have you been satisfied with the selection of games that have been offered? What sort of games would you like to see in the future? Let us know in the comment section.
