TGS 2013: Dark Souls II Finally Finds a Confirmed Release Date

Go beyond death!
If you were deciding on selling, packing up, or throwing out your Xbox 360 this November to make room for your shiny, black new Xbox One console, you may want to reconsider. The much-anticipated release date for the undoubtedly punishing Dark Souls II was officially confirmed at Namco-Bandai's TGS show for March 11th, 2014 in North America and March 14th, 2014 in Europe on Xbox 360. A PC version is in development as well but no release date was announced for that particular version as of yet.
The new tag-line for Dark Souls II is telling gamers to "Go Beyond Death," according to a new trailer that also debuted at TGS. Fans of the first Dark Souls will remember that the slogan was "Prepare to Die." And die we all did, as DS proved to be a brutally challenging game that oddly made us come back for more and more pain, bringing out the masochists in all of us.
Despite the attention of new next-gen consoles on the horizon, there still looks to be a reason to hang on to your dear old 360 consoles. It's been previously revealed that the Xbox 360 will continue to see support with over 100 titles still to come. And with the ability to plug in our 360's into the unique HDMI-in port on the back of the Xbox One hardware, we're confident we'll be playing our 360 titles for a very long time.
If you'd like to view the awesome new trailer for DS2, then avert your eyes just a tad bit lower.
