Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Coming to Retail Also

Posted by Ken Barnes

Confusing as you'd ever want.

Activision are gearing up to release Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of The Shadows on Xbox Live Arcade next week, but it seems that they also have a retail title in development, too.

Entitled just Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, the game will hit stores on October 25th in the UK, and October 22nd in the US. Looking a shade more cartoon-like than the Xbox Live game, the co-op brawler looks to have more than its fair share of rough edges, judging by the trailer that's been released.

We'll reserve judgement of course, but this one has been kept somewhat quiet, and that's usually a bad sign.

Looks like the arcade title is more like the Turtles we used to love from back in the day whereas the retail version is the new stylised one the kids watch now...

This looks rather lame. I will, however, be getting the XBLA game next week.

Also have to say, I have HATED this new theme since I first heard it. The one from 2003 was much better, this nonsense just makes a mockery of the 80s theme.

GOing to be getting the XBLA one. The other game, maybe and thats a big maybe. Anyway I was lucky enough to grab both of the Konami Arcade games a few years ago on XBLA so I at least have those for my Turtle cravings.
