Ken Levine Already Working on New Game

Posted by Anthony Bacchus

Cites film directors as inspiration

According to a recent Twitter post, BioShock Infinite lead writer and cofounder of Irrational Games Ken Levine, is already at work on his next game.

Levine, very simply wrote: "Game writing this afternoon. This is something else," over on his Twitter account.

Could this be the beginnings of the next chapter in the BioShock series for next-gen consoles? Mr. Levine has previously expressed interest in bringing the series to the PlayStation Vita but that prospect is now becoming less likely to happen. Of course, the other possibility is that he is working on something entirely new.

Also on his Twitter page, When asked by a user what he looks to for inspiration, Levine listed the AMC drama Mad Men and various prestigious film directors like Paul Thomas Anderson (There Will Be Blood), the Coen brothers (No Country for Old Men), Stanley Kubrick (Full Metal Jacket) and Steven Soderbergh (Ocean's 11).

Whatever is brewing in his mind, it's exciting to think about considering the high acclaim for Ken Levine's writing in his past works.

I hope it's a PS4/next Xbox game, but whatever he's working on, I'm sure it'll be awesome.
