Joystiq has done a little digging through a press release that was published by 505 Games parent company - Digital Bros. - back in January, and found that the publisher is planning a third entry in the popular Sniper Elite series.

Sniper Elite 3 is expected to launch for Xbox 360 and "next-gen platforms" (we've good reason to believe that will mean all of them) in 2014, and is being developed by Rebellion. Development of the title is expected to set the publisher back an estimated 28 million Euros, but we dare say that they'll make that back given that the previous title in the series - Sniper Elite V2 - shifted over 1.1 million copies.

We are waiting for a 100% confirmation that "next gen platforms" actually means the next generation Xbox, but we're are sure that we can be that it does.
