Crysis 3 Resists - Holds Number One Spot
Posted by Ken Barnes
Two weeks on the bounce.
Crysis 3 held off the advances of the erstwhile FIFA 13 this week, to ensure a second week at the top of the UK all formats sales chart.
The rest of the chart was relatively quiet, unsurprisingly, with the only addition to the top 20 being a re-entry, in the form of the excellent Red Dead Redemption: Game of The Year Edition. Although with the revitalised Tomb Raider launching tomorrow, we'd expect a bit of a shake up next Monday. Alongside that, we've got the psuedo-RTS History: Legends of War and Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 threatening to hit the charts next week. We'd imagine that Naruto has a better chance, but we've been wrong before.
This week's full rundown goes a little something like this:-
1 (1) - Crysis 3
2 (3) - FIFA 13
3 (2) - Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance
4 (4) - Call of Duty: Black Ops II
5 (7) - Far Cry 3
6 (8) - Need for Speed: Most Wanted
7 (5) - Aliens: Colonial Marines
8 (6) - Dead Space 3
9 (9) - Assassin's Creed III
10 (10) - Hitman: Absolution
11 (12) - The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
12 (14) - Skylanders Giants
13 (16) - Halo 4
14 (13) - Sonic & All Stars Racing Transformed
15 (15) - Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes
16 (11) - Just Dance 4
17 (18) - Grand Theft Auto IV
18 (17) - Lego: The Lord of The Rings
19 (RE) - Red Dead Redemption: Game of The Year Edition
20 (20) - Forza Motorsport 4

It'll be interesting to see if Tomb Raider overtakes it.

I think it's pretty much a foregone conclusion that Tomb Raider will be number one next week; Lara Croft is such a video game icon and the reviews appear to be unanimously positive. Way too much buzz for it to be anything less than number one.

@jordanmarsden I'd agree there - Tomb Raider at #1, probably FIFA at #2 I'd think, and Crysis tailing off a bit into the #3 spot.
