Hit the Brakes, We've Got Burnout Crash! Kinect Details

Posted by James Newton

It's going to be a bumpy ride

Top-down Hot Wheels simulator Burnout Crash! will be playable with Kinect, and now IGN has had a blast on the game we can bring you a bit more information about how you'll play using the sensor.

You start out with hands in front like Kinect Joy Ride, but for this one you'll actually need to move — once you crash you jump up to trigger an explosion, then lean your body side-to-side to control how your car flies through the air.

123Kinect also unearthed a gameplay video showing how this all works in practice. At the moment we're a bit unsure about this: for a game that will be all about high scores and precise chains, can Kinect match the controller?

Sorry - but this is a pointless game. Why not a more original game - that let you learn/gain about morality. Success.....

I'd definitely rather use a controller if I had to play this. The video is getting a lot of dislikes over on YouTube.

...I really wonder how some games (and movies for that matter), are brought into this world.

A group of people worked on this for months, then sat together on the final day, and played this game. They must have looked at each other like "wtf did we just make?!?"

But, having allready spent a lot of cash on it, they had no choice but to release it, and hope that the expenses made would be covered for the largest part.

Doesnt stuff like this have to pass a final review board or something? A final authority that has the power to stop games from coming into existence?

If I had been in an emotional mood while watching this video, I would most likely have shut down my computer, and walked over to the window, where I would have stood motionless for about 5 minutes, pondering upon the uselessness of mankind as a whole...
