Topic: Xbox One with HD composite cable?

Hello All,
I am considering purchasing an Xbox One. I think I may have a dilemma though. The only hookups that I have available on my TV are an HDMI to DVI port and HD composite cables in the back. From what I've read online, it is not possible to use composite cables on the Xbox One since it does not support 1080i output. Does anyone know a way of working around this? Is there some kind of converter I could buy that isn't super expensive?

Sadly, you're right. The Xbox One won't work with composite cables right off the bat.

I've been reliably informed (by someone who knows more than me) that the best (indeed, only) option is the HDFury2 convertor. The cheaper convertors on the market apparently don't work properly as they either a) don't output in HD, b) aren't HDCP-compliant or c) produce awful results.

The HDFury2 isn't cheap though, at $159 - http://www.hdfury.com/shop/gamer/hdfury-gamer-2-component/

Hope this helps!

I meant to say component, so thankfully I'm not limited to just that.
It looks like Radio Shack makes a cable for what I need for $30, but can't seem to locate a store that has it.
Does anyone know anything about my options here?

I'm going to go out on a limb here and suggest foregoing using your older TV altogether and plugging your Xbox One into your computer monitor. If you have a decent computer monitor (all but the very very old ones have HDMI) then you should be good to go. If your monitor doesn't have any speakers or sound output then that is another problem, but there are cheaper workarounds for getting sound out of the One to speakers than buying a new TV. So maybe explore that as an option if at all possible.
