You may or may not have already seen this, but a new trailer focusing on the latest addition to the Killer Instinct cast, Kim Wu, has been released. Kim Wu was previously announced as one of the new fighters joining the roster in Season 3, but what is really interesting is the tease that comes at the end of the trailer, hinting at yet another guest character in addition to Rash from Battletoads.

Not sure about the cocky teenager makeover, but her skill set looks good. I think she was one of the better fighters in KI2, alongside Maya. Just do me a favour and leave Tusk dead, ok?

I would rather of had General RAAM as a guest fighter, but I'll take Arbiter. As for Kim Wu not sure I like her millennial makeover, but I'm sure I'll get used to it.
@LuckyPenguin: Plenty of room for General Raam in Season 3 with a season being 8-9 characters and only 4 possible original K.I. Characters left (Kim Wu, Tusk, Gargos, Eyedol) and the 2 guests so far.

Does anybody know when will Season 3 launch, will there be a Season 1 & 2 & 3 (Ultra/Complete) bundle and why do I see Season 1 & 2 (Complete) for €79.99 and for €59.99? Is it better to wait for Season 3 before buying any bundle now?
How successful has it been? It might be difficult to tell, as you can purchase a single character or one of the several bundles... I'm curious, I loved Killer Instinct Gold back in the day.
@VanillaLake: Sometime in March. We don't know about the "bundles" that will be available yet.
Killer Instinct: Season 1 & 2 Complete Collection includes all the fighters, besides Shadow Jago; all the costumes, all premium accessories, Killer Instinct Classic, and Killer Instinct 2 Classic for Xbox One. Or you could buy the 2 seasons of "Combo Breaker Packs" to get all the fighters, except Shadow Jago, for less money then the Complete Collection with its extras. I picked up the Complete Collection during last summer's sale and I have hardly touched the classic K.I.'s though I played it all the time on the SNES back in the day. I don't mess with the accessories.
I would say it has been moderately successful and has a very loyal and solid fan base. Iron Galaxy is very interactive with the community.
If I were you, I would just do the Free 2 play route until you know what options are available when Season 3 comes out.
I will pick up Season 3 day one but probably the cheapest way to get all the fighters whatever that might be.

@Ryno: I'm playing Killer Instinct, I've bought Orchid this far. This is a really good fighting game. Plus, the developers said that they are improving lighting and visuals for Season 3 update, probably because of the extra power that has been unlocked after the Kinect era.
I really don't like the navigation bar of Nintendo Life continuously reappearing while browsing!!
@VanillaLake: Glad to hear you are enjoying it. It is really a great fighting game. Very complex and deep but also super easy to pick up and play as a newcomer with combo assist enabled. Yeah, the new characters and visuals look great and can't wait for all the new updates in Season 3!

Just preordered Season 3 Ultra! As someone who doesn't have time to grind the "VIP Double XP Booster" and "18,000 KI gold" are more appreciated than the classic games. As big of a fan as I was of K.I. on the SNES back in the day, I have only played maybe 20 minutes total of the 2 classic games. I will use the "retro" costumes though. Thank you Bing fro the "free" credit!

@Ryno: Good! I can't wait to see the visuals upgrades and the complete roster of classic fighters. Or almost complete if Eyedol is not included, but I never liked Eyedol anyway. Gargos was much better, in my opinion. What do you mean by free credit on Bing?

@VanillaLake: I use Bing as a search engine and redeem searches for Xbox credit but I think it is only available in the U.S. I had $40+ in credit so I used it on Season 3 Ultra. I'm hoping Eyedol is in, if for no other reasons then nostalgia.
1) How do you know what strength to use for a combo breaker? I choose a strength level randomly and it barely works! I know I'm supposed to know what strength to use according to what moves is the opponent using but it seems almost impossible to me, because some hard moves are quick and some weak moves are slow. Also, players can combine quick doubles with fierce (hard) moves or whatever combination they want to make so... I'm a very poor combo breaker to the point I don't like fighting online and it's clearly my weak point as a player.
2. How can you get gold by playing the game for unlocking extra costumes? I'm completing single player challenges and fighting online (I win sometimes) and I have 0 gold.
