Anyone else excited to play this? I've just ordered the Charing Cross Ltd Ed - courtesy of my lad who now works at Game I'm also tempted by the 'Jack the Ripper' DLC and may even splash out on the season pass if it's not 'p155-takingly' expensive.

I am, loved Unity, only issues I had was with the companion app. Have always wanted an AC game set in Victorian England so Syndicate is a dream come true for me.
Definitely want the Jack the Ripper DLC and will almost certainly get the season pass too - the DLC set on board a steam train sounds really cool.
Might even get the collectors edition with the clock tower figure as this is quite a special game for me...
@stylon: We've got a few of the Ltd Ed AC games (AC2 Black Edition is probably my favourite). I don't usually go for them as the price is quite high, but the Missus is a big fan of the series, so the additional cost gets overlooked by her hahaha.
Have you heard anything about the season pass price? The content looks okay, but given the pre-order and edition we're getting - I'm not sure how much extra will be added.

No I've not seen anything about the stand alone season pass price yet... it's included in the Big Ben edition though but @ £115 I should think so! I think it'll be worth it though, the Jack the Ripper content alone sold it to me to be honest and you get the Last Maharaja story which is 10 missions long plus some other stuff that I don't know much about yet lol...
The version I ordered has the Runaway Train and The Darwin and Dickens Conspiracy DLC included. I'll probably get the season pass anyway, as long as it's reasonable.

Seeing this running EGX, and having a chat with Ubi's community manager manager (thats how he described himself) I am cautiously excited for this. The missions that the people were playing, even though it was an older build, did look smooth and reasonably glitch free.
So I've chalked this up as a maybe.
"Justin Bieber looks like a lesbian i'd like to ****..." - Megakillscreen, out of frickin' nowhere!
It's a maybe for me too. Not a defo and def not day one. There's Halo and Fallout to get through before that and I also need to get a couple of runs through Imperial City in ESO
It's a done deal for me... just ordered the 'Big Ben' collectors edition. Been watching a few videos of people playing it on youtube... looks tremendous, can't wait to get my hands on it
@stylon: I've been avoiding watching too many videos as I don't want to see any spoilers...but after watching the Wife playing Unity at the weekend (with those bloody French accents), I did view a few minutes of Syndicate. Oh my I cannot wait to play this now.
I'm sure it will be fine, on console anyway. I bought Unity at launch on Xbox and played it a LOT and had no virtually no issues with it at all... I think that it was blown up out of proportion by the media to be honest... Yes there was that infamous issue with the graphics on the PC if you had a particular gfx card/driver combo but on console it was great. Definitely would have benefitted from a few less NPC's on screen at once to make things run smoother but I think they've learned that lesson as the streets in Syndicate seem a lot less populated.
So excited now, just received this email off Ubisoft...
"Thank you for ordering from Ubisoft on 25 September 2015. The following product(s) have shipped. If you paid by credit card, your credit card has now been charged.
Product Name: Assassin's Creed® Syndicate - Big Ben Collector's Case
Qty Ordered: 1
Qty Shipped: 1"
Keeping my fingers crossed that it'll arrive tomorrow!
@stylon: Awesome! I got a call from my Lad last night (works at Game). Apparently the Charing Cross Ltd Ed's arrived yesterday and the boxes are huge. Roll on Friday.
I will wait. Too many games and too little time. Halo 5, Fallout 4, Blackops and my back catalog is enormous! I STILL haven't played Sunset Overdrive that I bought in last Christmas' sale!
Know that feeling, Sorethumbed. I've got several games on the go. I'll be playing AC Syndicate (if I can get the Wife off of it long enough), then there's Fallout 4 and Tomb Raider looming on my games radar.

There's a review up on Eurogamer - it gets a 'Recommended' off them. Review is spoiler free if you want to check it out. Loving the fact that there is no tacked on multiplayer this year - maybe this will be the first one I'll 100% in years!
Alas my copy is coming from Germany so no chance of it coming today but it's scheduled to arrive tomorrow by UPS and they're usually pretty good at delivering on time.
@Captain_Chao5 - Must come in handy having your son working in Game - staff discounts and all that.
@stylon: It is handy, but his discount is off the store price which is always higher than online...plus he gets the Game Reward points! I must have a word with him LOL

From Eurogamer review: "First things first, here are all the things Assassin's Creed doesn't have this year. There's no bolted on multiplayer mode or any co-op options. It doesn't have any connections to a broken web service. It doesn't require you to play a companion app to acquire everything in the game."
I'M SOLD!!!

Agreed. All very positive subtractions from the game if you ask me.
That companion app drove me to distraction last year, constantly resetting and losing my progress or not unlocking chests when it should... good riddance!
