When Kinect was first released as Project Natal, it showed a scateboarding game with the boy using his own drawing to use as a design underneath his board. is that something that will come into use or just a gimmik to sell? also it had a girl uploading her fav dress for her avatar to wear. i would love to put my avatar in some of my rugby tops. any experts know?

All those games were actually just CGI animations demonstrating the technology without showing any real gameplay, meaning none of those games were real, but I suppose they are possible, but probably won't work out as perfect as they appear in the video. For instance, in Kinect Joyride, you can change the color of your car by putting an object that's the color you want and placing it in front of the camera, but the details on the object, such as stripes and logos, don't appear.

I just loved the whole Milo thing, seeing your own reflection in the water and stuff...

I was browsing the web the other day and found this announcement that Microsoft had bought a company that made 3D motion cameras, and how it might be used in future. Interesting stuff to see Kinect long before we knew what it was!

I am not ignoring you. I just do not post much.

Apparently, object scanning is something that is coming in the next Kinect firmware update. Very much a rumour as it hasn't been confirmed of course, but apparently they've figured out how to do it properly and it is indeed coming.
