Whilst I would agree with you (having been present for both of mine), taking about or watching someone else's would not rank very highly on my to do list 😃😃 @crippyd
Although my first gig was the Dead Kennedys, the first gig I CHOSE to attend was actually Rick Astley (I was six). I won a Rick Astley Record at the fair on one of those 'pull a string and win whatever is on the end' things and declared that he was the best musician ever (except Mozart - I was super into Mozart when I was six)
This could almost be a new thread...first gig! Mine was U2 at Wembley Stadium in 1987. Still the best gig I ever went to. Notable mentions for the RHCP and Foo's - both of who I saw at Hyde Park.

I couldn't tell you my first Gig as I went to quite a few in an around the same time so getting the time-line in the right order is quite difficult for me. Some of the most memorable was Monsters of Rock in '91 (I think) with AC/DC, Metallica, Motley Crue, Queensryche and the Black Crowes. Guns N Roses at Wembley was also a memorable one. I have seen quite a few bands/Artists like Def Leppard, Terrorvision, Dogs D'Amour, Prince, the G3 (Satriani, Vai and some other guitarist I can't remember now), Soundgarden, Faith no More...
The last gig I went to was Motley Crue in Cardiff on their Red, White and Crue tour (supported by Killing Joke) - can't believe that was 10 years ago now....
A pessimist is just an optimist with experience!
Why can't life be like gaming? Why can't I restart from an earlier checkpoint??
Feel free to add me but please send a message so I know where you know me from...
Haven't really been to many concerts. Both times I went it was just to see mc chris although I did get to see some other rad bands that either opened for him or were just part of the same tour.
So I got to see the Protomen (rad Mega Man rock opera group), Random / Mega Ran, Richie Branson, Power Glove, a bunch of shitty death metal bands I have forgotten the name of, a really bad rapper called Mod Sun (who was 200x worse than any of the death metal bands I saw), We The Kings, Watsky, This Wild Life and We Are The In Crowd.

I saw Killing Joke at Rock 'Sticky' City in Nottingham

How about if we switch it up; and put "favourite" concert? Mines a tie between Slayer at a tiny sweaty venue in Manchester I can't remember the name of, Metallica at the Milton Keynes Bowl, and The Levellers in Leicester.
"Justin Bieber looks like a lesbian i'd like to ****..." - Megakillscreen, out of frickin' nowhere!
I would say for me it was Queen at Hyde Park in 2005, I was at the front of the pleb section (which was about 50 - 60 foot from the stage) and there was about 100,000 people there.
My favourite concert was probably Placebo at Exeter Uni in 1997. AC Acoustics as support weren't great, but given that I was 16 and spent the entirety of the opening act's set trying to avoid the bouncers, it didn't matter. The guy behind me in the queue was the brother of one of my classmates, so decided to fink on me to the doorman just after I'd fake ID'd my way past him.
End up spying the Placebo set from behind a curtain. Awesome gig!
No contest, Alex Harvey Soul Band (later Sensational Alex Harvey Band) in a tiny sweaty club in Edinburgh. Packed in like sardines, one person started dancing and everybody else had to move as well lol. Best gig of my life.
