@sorethumbed I don't mind joining up a Facebook page, I know some are reluctant to share real life info and love the anonymity of their profiles in here and on Live.

I'd join a facebook page as well. Already in a couple different game-related groups on there. It's not nearly as nice as having a full website dedicated to the Xbox but at least we could keep discussions going.
What about the True Achievements site? It's Xbox only, has news (with comments) and Forums. I know a lot of us are on there already but currently don't use it much for communication, other to comment on Red's unstoppable achievement streak of course but that could change?
While I've never contributed to this site before, it is one that I've actively visited in the past. I saw this thread yesterday, and I thought I'd offer a suggestion.
I help out on TrueAchievements.com, and it already includes a lot of the functionality that has been mentioned in this thread. We only cover Xbox related news, reviews and editorial articles, we have an active community with 337,000 registered members (54,000 active in past 30 days), busy forums, regional settings so that release dates, prices, time zones etc are all relevant to you, and a host of other features that you might find useful even if achievement hunting isn't your kind of thing.
There's already a PureXbox leaderboard which has its own private forum should you wish to stick together, and you can also add each other as friends and use your friend feeds to keep in contact and see what games you are all playing.
