@KelticDevil As I said yesterday, I'm two missions in and its Halo of old mixed in with a few new features, which for me is spot on. It is immediately familiar to anyone who has played Halo before but with a couple of added mechanics like bleed out and the ground pound is great when you can pull it off (its not difficult to do, just difficult to make it connect with the enemy). Not sure about the lied to bit, but it does seem the story is going the way of the pre launch promo.
Indeed it is great - the hairs were standing up on the back of my neck during the opening sequence and again when MC made his debut. Doesn't seem to have lost any of its magic
@KelticDevil: The campaign is as advertised..packed full of action and interesting plot twists. The relationship between Chief and Locke is so much fun to watch, can't wait to see more later when I get my Elite controller
Mine is installing now. It came this morning but I got dragged to Bristol to look at carpets and paint. 😱😱😱😱 Bummer was I had to walk past the game store multiple times.
@KelticDevil:
I don't think we're allowed to post links but could you or somebody else here tell me where I can find this article? I'd be interested to read it just because I've enjoyed what I've played of Halo 5's campaign so far.
It's at a certain website that has 3 letters & is written by a redheaded, pasty, pear-shaped Canadian who can be extremely annoying & comes off as egotistical most of the time to me.
(I am not hating on Canadians. I am a redheaded, somewhat pasty, non-pear shaped former Minnesotan, so I can say those things. Lol)
Thanks, I know exactly which website to visit now, which tells you how much of a nerd I am. Only 3 missions in so I won't make a full judgement yet, but early on I'd say if you're a Halo fan you should enjoy this one. I'll hopefully have it beat sometime tomorrow (my day off so it's nothing but Halo 5). I'll give more thoughts then.
@Utena-mobile: In co-op, one person must be Locke/Chief, and everyone else can choose. Solo play forces Locke/Chief.
Side note, been playing Warzone...it's stellar and the matchmaking works extremely quickly and flawlessly! So much fun
@Utena-mobile: Exactly how I feel. Like a cliffhanger at the end of a TV shows season, it's a necessary part of the experience. That trailer of Chief was a teaser, it meant and promised nothing, except to announce Halo 5 was in development
