So I've been running the strikes with a three of coins consumed just before the boss. I'm running about 1/5 for exotic items so that works out as one for every seven coins. Of course it's random (drop AND item) but seems a fairly efficient way of getting them. Have two exotic Auto rifles now. All 3 of my toons have hit 290 at least (depending on loadout).

@Red620Ti: I do like the new Suros. I like the fact that you can have the slower fire/higher damage/range or the faster firing format - like the Abyss Defiant - making it more versatile. I also prefer the new aesthetics of it too. They have done a bit more work on Suros than some of the yr2 version of the Exotics.

I am chasing after the Zhalos Supercell and Hereafter sniper - so far not been lucky with my exotic drops for these yet.

Why can't life be like gaming? Why can't I restart from an earlier checkpoint??

Feel free to add me but please send a message so I know where you know me from...

Also managed to snag some legendary arms from the Shield Brothers strike...They can only be got from there, it seems? My characters are getting up there now, my Titan is at 293, Hunter at 276 and Warlock at 270. What I've been doing is hitting the strike list with my Titan, then giving all the engrams for armour to my other guys (the Titan decodes guns as shes the highest level!)

Seems to be working fairly well so far!

That's how I got all three to 290 plus. That Brothers strike is mean on hard difficulty. I finished it with one other guy when the third quit (sorry - got booted 😉😉😉).

Depends which one. I've seen The Vault done with 2.. but you have to be good. The more the merrier! Have you joined the clan yet? We need Raid members...

@A_BabyRed_Yoshi: The first 2 Raids are 'possible' with 3 people but you would need to be very good and certainly above the minimum recommended level. The new Raid however is designed in such a way that you could potentially beat it with less than 6 (maybe even as low as 4) you certainly couldn't beat it with 3. The mechanics are designed more so with team-work and co-ordination in mind. Without giving away spoilers, the final stages require a person to stand in a certain spot (of which there are 4) in a certain order to allow another person to perform another action to allow you to damage the bosses. Whilst this requires 5, the 'spare' is killing ads and obviously helps having that extra damage to bosses. You have to put enough damage into Oryx for example in a very small window of opportunity otherwise he will kill everyone instantly. I doubt you could do that with 3-4 people at the current maximum levels.

Anyway if you and anyone else want to do the Raids (any of them), I am more than happy to help out. It would be great to play these with you again and miss the old VoG 'A' team Raid nights...

Hope you are feeling better and get well soon

So, my Destiny problems have (mostly) gone away. The problem was my router.
I have fibre broadband and had a separate modem and router from 'Good honest Broadband from Yorkshire' which used a Tecnicolor router and a BT Fibre modem. All other MP games are fine with this but apparently Destiny doesn't like them separated. I replaced with an Integrated Fibre Modem/Router (which took all of 2 minutes to set up) and hey presto. No more KTO's.

I might just buy a dancin' emote to celebrate 😦😦😦

In other Destiny news, Xur has an exotic sniper for sale this week, Hereafter? And also last night, I finally got:

As regards the Raid, Des was making rumblings on the Facebooks about raiding this weekend...Assuming he comes through, who fancies it?

@Red620Ti: If you want or need me, just send a message. The Sleeper Simulant is quite good - not quite in the Gjallahorn level of 'good' but still not bad. It does quite a bit of damage - particularly with headshots which is something Rocket Launchers can't do but the ricochet isn't all that useful. Personally I think the Black Spindle is more worthy of an Exotic Slot and if you are doing the Kings Fall Raid, the Touch of Malice is excellent for the last 2 stages (Daughters and Oryx). Its definitely a Scout, Sniper, LMG raid although the Sleeper can be useful if you don't have the ToM or BS.

The Hereafter isn't bad, its similar in essence to Patience and Time. Its a low impact/high fire rate sniper - not the best for the Raid. Its best used when sniping at groups of low level enemies rather than a 'boss' though. Definitely worth picking up but not as useful as some other snipers (Black Spindle, 1,000 yard stare) for the majority of end game activities.

Yeah, I bought that sniper from Xur, it's not bad. Can't help the times I'm on. Been on all weekend during the day! On every day during the day and every night late. It's a 'set in stone deal', I have to spend the evenings with the boss.
