What is Wrong with My Xbox 360 and How to Fix It?

At first it didn't even turn on. But then it turned on but only the light in the middle turned on. My wired controller wouldn't connect to it and my wireless controller didn't connect. And then when I switch my channels to the one that the XBOX usually plays on it says there is no signal. WHAT IS GOING ON!!!

Suggestion:

This will often happen when your Xbox short-circuits and many times can be a different form of the Red Ring of Death. As of right now, there is no possible way to fix this, but my advice that could help is to try and tighten the metal plate that the motherboard sits on. This is a quick fix but will rarely do anything. It's still worth a shot though.

If this doesn't work, I strongly advise you to never attempt the so-called "Towel Trick". What you do with this is, wrap your console up in a towel, turn on your Xbox and leave it there for a while. What this does is it makes the inside of the console heat up do a degree that will melt the broken soldering (or connection) so that it mends back together. But this is a problem. It in turn makes the soldering so brittle that even the slightest overheat will cause microscopic cracks in ALL of the solderings, despite if it used to be broken or not. So what you end up with is a useless pile of metal.

There is no help I can give you but to send it to Microsoft or save yourself 3 months and buy a new one. If you do buy a new one, you should get the new Slim version.
