Suggestion:
Seems like ur internet is too slow or mw2 is blocking it.
Check your nat type from multiplayer menu. If its open, upgrade ur internet speed.
If its not open. google tutorials. "How to get open nat type in mw2"

Net connection might be tooooooo slow! I had this problem too.
by trading it in for BC2 or MAG, unless your a hacker then yea everyones had that exp. b4 where it seems to take forever
