How Do You Get a Scratch from an Xbox 360 Game?

my brother scratched his game right in the middle near the hole and now it is not working?
How can we fix it as it is a $100 game.
Where can we take it?

Don't take it anywhere, they will tell you it's impossible to fix. Try buying a disc cleaning machine, try to get one that has a buffer and a scratch remover, I bought the mad catz one and I was able to play the games that my xbox scratched again.

Toothpaste WILL NOT WORK with that type of scratch! DO NOT clean the disc with any types of cotton, it will just scratch it and make it worse!

Yeah man, I was going to suggest buffing out the scratches with toothpaste, too. It always seemed to cure all my CDs and games that skipped.

your retailer may have a guarantee. did you pay a $5 disc guarantee? Sometimes buying pre-owned is in fact better cos they guarantee the disc.

anyway Blockbuster sells all sorts of disc remover stuff, you may want to ask them to remove it for you, with a nice smile, and a big please, or pay them say $5 and hopefully they do it for you…

theres not much that can be offered.

if the scratch is too deep it can't be saved..scratch removal only removes the plastic discolouration(white) not the actual data on the silver plate as per say.
