How Do I Increase the Dead Zone of My Xbox 360 Controller on Pc?

there's been a few games (such as NFS Most Wanted) that read the analog left controller right from 0 increments. If I touch the analog stick slightly the car turns, I know just a tad but still. It means I'm constantly moving the stick ever so slightly all the friggen time o_o" … any fix for this from would be great. there's really no customizability to the controller from the desktop … does anyone have any ideas? thank you so much in advance
