Do I Need a New Xbox or Can I Fix This?

Yo , when i put games in my xbox 360 it doesnt load them, it just remains at the dashboard as though there isnt a game in the console.. and when i go to the click on the run game icon it just opens the tray to insert a disk when theres already one in it :S HELP

Suggestion:

Yeah my brothers did the same thing, you'll have to send it into xbox depending on how old it is you might not have to pay much if any at all.
