No you need to have the CD to start the game, the only differ is the console runs not so loud, loading is faster. but you need the CD to start the game.

No because you still need the game in the drive to show that you own a copy. If that were possible we'd all just rent games, install them, and return them. I would.
no, putting on your hard drive just make it easier to run the game. You will still need the dics.
