Basically the more hours of play without letting the system cool, the worse.
Why? Here are the 3 main reasons:
1. An Xbox 360 console will carry a graphics card and a CPU chip in which both are attached to the motherboard of the system. The graphics card is the one chip that needs more cooling than any other component.
Just like a desktop CPU. Addictive gamers will tend to buy these huge 8×4 graphics card to install into their system. Of course, the bigger it is the more cooling is required. These cards will usually have a fan attached to it which keeps it cool.
2. On the other hand. The graphics card that’s attached to the Xbox 360 console will be attached upside down (the base) of the system and not enough ventilation is supporting it to keep the system cool enough.
3. It is tried and tested on a regular computer. I have a huge 8×4 graphics card which carries a fan attached to it. I also have control of the fan speed. Yep I set the fan to the lowest speed.
What happened?
The computer started to freeze up numerous amounts of times while I had simple programs open like Notepad and Firefox.
