Wolfenstein Only Reaches 2nd Place for All Format Chart

A good piece of video game news coming your way now. Yet another week of gaming charts have been released by GfK Chart Track and they have seen Wii Sports Resort claim the top spot, once again, only just beating the recently released Activision title, Wolfenstein.

Wii Sports Resort was previously number 1 on all formats until it was knocked off by Ashes Cricket 2009 for two weeks, however, now it has managed to yet again take top spot. This now gives the title 15 weeks as number 1 game on all formats since it’s release.

Shame for Activision that their recent release, Wolfenstein, wasn’t able to get the all formats no.1 place. Although the game managed to get number 1 in the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC charts, it was just 2000 sales off the number 1 spot for all formats.

Although Activision were not able to claim the overall top spot, they shoul still be pleased that Wolfenstein, CoD: World at War, and Prototype are all in the top 10.

However, both Activision and Nintendo might have some stiff competition in the upcoming few weeks with the release of Batman: Arkham Asylum. This new Batman game has already become popular within the pre-order charts, plus with the demo that was recently released, sites that do video game reviews have been going crazy. I definately won’t be shocked to see the new Batman game claim number 1 sport in the charts.

Here are the top 20 games in the all format charts by Chart Track, all of which have been given brilliant video game ratings.
