Warlock – the Fierce Enemies

If you decide to role a Warlock, rest assured that you will have plenty of fun. They are dark casters that use fire and shadow spells to devastate their opponents.  Since they are interested for the “dark arts”, they are highly skilled in demonology. With demonology they can summon powerful demons, for example imps, fel hounds, succubus, infernals and void walkers. Locks are one of the two classes that can use pets and similar to the Hunter class, Locks too can have a pet by their side at most of the times if their build allows them.

Moving through the game will be a lot easier if you have a pet around you since he will take most of the damage that comes your way. When it comes to their offensive abilities, Warlocks are damage dealers and their main spells, like shadow bolts, can cause a lot of damage. Another ability that contributed to the overall popularity of Locks is “fear”, which is can make their opponents run around for a few seconds without the ability to do anything about it. On top of that the Warlock has several “damage over time” spells (DoTs) which deal good amounts of damage over a specific amount of time. Click here to watch the video: WoW Warlock Guide

Because of these spells, a good Warlock is feared in PvP, and can top damage meters in PvE. In PvE a Lock will mostly use his single target spells like Shadow Bolts while in PvP he will use DoTs and fear as well.

On top of a variety of damaging spells the Warlock has several other nice spells in his arsenal. One of these is the Dark Portal they can summon. This portal is frequently used in raids, and with this ability a Lock can summon players from afar to his current location. However, in order for this spell to work, a Warlock will need help from a few other players in his group. This Dark Portal can be used similar like you would use the meeting stone in front of an instance.

The Warlock also has the ability to put a Soul Stone on other players as well as on himself. A person who has a Soul Stone on him can easily resurrect if he happens to die. This can greatly reduce the corps running time even though it has a cool down of half an hour. For a Lock, the Soul Stone is great while leveling and while in a party or raid the Soul Stone is usually applied to any player who can resurrect other players upon death (healer). A Warlock can also create Health Stones which function as healing potions and are actually more powerful because they restore more hit points. At the beginning, a Warlock can give the Health Stones to other players separately and on the higher levels he will be able to create a Soul Well where all the members of his raid or group can click to obtain one Health Stone. In a fight that is longer, Health Stones come in as really handy since they don’t share the same cooldown as the health potions.

The class of Warlocks is great to level up and play. With their damage dealing abilities, demon pets, fears, DoTs and spells which are helpful to the group, they are surely complex characters to play and tuff enemies to fight against. If you prefer to play caster classes and would like to level up fast, this class would be perfect for you!
