Total score
Total score is an indication of the overall player performance in game. It should normally be slowly but steadily rising, so when you see that you know that nothing special is going on. If there is a big rising step, some major building might have finished (palace), or some high level research completed. If it is dropping then either the player has lost a lot of units in a battle, or he is moving one of his colonies to a better place. If it is a straight horizontal line, then the player most possibly is in vacation mode.
Master Builder and Building Levels
I will talk about these two scores together, since they both depend on the buildings of the player and their levels. In normal mode, this should be rising, since playing Ikariam, you will always have a building to build or upgrade. If it is steady, either the player is in vacation mode, or he is building army for a battle and he has ceased production of valuables. If it is dropping, then the player is probably moving a colony.
Scientists and Levels of research
These two scores are almost identical as well, since they both actually depend on the researches completed. In the beginning of the game, it should be constantly rising. As the game in Ikariam progresses, researches are harder to complete, so the line will look steady and every now and then it will make some big steps. If it is all straight, then either the player is in vacation mode, or he has finished all the researches he wanted to complete, so he has stopped researching once and for all.
Generals
Generals are depending on the army the player has built. The average player, will increase his army along with his progress, so this chart should be normally slowly rising as well. If you see a big rise, then this player might be preparing for a big battle because his alliance is at war. If you see a sudden drop, then the player might have had a defeat, which means again that his alliance is at war.
Gold Supply
This Ikariam score type, indicates the amount of gold the player has summed. In a peaceful environment, the line should be steadily rising, and dropping every now and then, because the player buys a trade ship. If you see this rising but not dropping, then the player might be gathering a lot of gold to start a military campaign which requires gold anyway. If you see this dropping steadily, then the player is spending more than he can handle, which means that either he has sent his army away for some battle, or he has risen more army than he can afford. Either way, his alliance should be in war.
Offensive points
Offensive points rise when the player attacks. So if you see this rising slowly, the player is pillaging easy targets. If it is rising fast, the player won a big battle. If it is steady, then this player most probably is a peaceful one.
Defence points
Same as before, this Ikariam score type is pretty straight forward, rising with units getting killed while defending. If it is rising, the player is defending either his towns, or his allies towns. If it is steady then the player has no troubles with battles.
Trade high score
Maybe the most “useless” scores of all, it rises when the player is buying or selling resources using the Trading post. If it is steady then the player is ignoring the Trading post, while if it is rising, then depending on the speed of the rise, you can see how much of a Trading post “lover” the player is.
As you can see, a player can acquire a lot and useful data combining the information provided by all score types available in Ikariam. Especially in war situations, I have found this tactic extremely valuable!
IkaScore contains history charts of the scores mentioned above for players and alliances. I find it very useful in deploying my strategy in ikariam and I believe you will find it useful as well.
