EA unveiled some video game news today that the new Skate 3 game is currently in production and is due for release during May 2010 for the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360.
Not alot was leaked regarding features, however, they did announce that Skate 3 will be a more team based game. With the new co-op features, you will be able to create ultimate skating crews either online or offline. Once you’ve built your perfect team, you can take part in group events and careers.
Other features that weve seen in previous games such as Hall of Meat and Create are set for some improvements. Not to mention a brand new School feature that will allow you to train the moves before you play.
These feature improvements are good additions to the game, but can they really compete with the competition? Ever since that release of the original Skate game, EA has controlled the market, but this might be about to change with the new Tony Hawk: RIDE game. The new Tony Hawk game will change the way we play skating games because it comes with a Wii Balance board style skateboard controller. I wonder if the skateboard controller really works well, will Skate 3 suffer because they are simply improving features with no huge changes.
Due to financial struggles these days, many people decide to sell video games after they have completed them and they are not worth playing again, I wonder if Skate 3 will be one of these games.
What I know for certain is that Ill want to read some game reviews before I buy Skate 3, unless they announce some even better features.
