Once you have a pet at your side you will see that leveling a Hunter is a real piece of cake. While you stand back firing your bullets or arrows your pet tanks the enemy and keeps it at distance which means that you will hardly get hit. On top of the abilities to tame and use pets a Hunter has a lot of other tricks and damaging shots and stings. Click here to watch the video WoW Hunter
The Hunter can place various traps that either deal damage or slow a target, or freezes targets which can come in really handy. Even though only one trap can be active at the time it gives a great boost to the playability of a Hunter. When things get really tricky for a Hunter he has the ability to Feign Death, which make the Hunter act like he’s dead which will make all its enemies run off most of the times.
You probably understand that a Hunter is great for solo playing but they are however also a great asset to any raid or group in both PvE and PvP. Because of the boosts they get through their talent trees and the traps they can place they are very strong in any situation. Their pets can be used to get enemies of the healers in the groups and add to the overall damage.
It’s not all about the pet though when we talk about Hunters, they themselves can deal heavy amounts of damage and have other abilities that can aid the raid like Misdirect, which is used to misdirect threat to the tank. This makes the whole experience a lot easier for tanks, healers and dpsers because they do not have to keep their eyes on the threat meter. The Hunter class is unique and this is the reason why many people have decided to play a Hunter in the past.

Because there are so many people playing a Hunter it might be hard for you to find slots in a party or raid and this is the reason why it would be great if you can find a nice guild where you can have fun with in raids, dungeons, arenas and battle grounds. Make sure that you stand out from the crowd by knowing your character and playing it the best way possible with a nice talent tree and good gear. As a Hunter you will be able to choose between the following talent trees: Beast Mastery, Survival and Marksmanship.
Beast Master is definitely the best tree for leveling. Because the pet gets a lot of boosts in this talent tree the Hunter can basically send in the pet to attack several mobs and go drink a cup of coffee while his pet slays everything around him. On top of an immensely strong pet a Beast Master Hunter will also be able to run faster which also increases the leveling speed.
As a Marksmanship Hunter you will gain access to a variety of shots and stings, basically increasing your damage. This build is normally chosen by Hunters that like to appear on the top of damage meters. The Survival talent tree hasn’t always been really good but today it is great for PvP Hunters.
The Survival talent tree also gives a boost to the Hunter’s traps and also gives him more Stamina etc. On top of that you will also gain access to a few shots that are great for PvP like Explosive and Scatter Shot.
